chaotropic agents and yeasy cell lysis

Dear researchers

I read chaotropic agents are used for cell lysis of
yeast, gram negative bacteria but not for gram positive bacteria .. I
want to know to why and the meachnism by which chaotropes act on on
cells..

Any help would be really appreciated
