Re: Cell Culture Tips Some good tips... what about use of ethanol? spray everything down with ethanol or is it not very useful? |
Re: Cell Culture Tips Haik, I have read in a Biochemistry Laboratory book by Rodney Boyer and it is mentioned that using acetone to speed up the drying of glasswares is not advisable as it will leave the non-volatile organic residues on the surface and might affect the bacterial growth. So, I am not sure if that aplies the same to ethanol. However, ethanol is used to sterilise the laminar flow and work area prior to usage. The ethanol used is usually mixed with water. |
Re: Cell Culture Tips Thank you! very nice tip Hsip! Also never touch your culture plastics to anything! If you do, get new one. |
