DMEM Media

Hi
Well first we buy already prepared DMEM media from supplier but now we are getting powdered DMEM Media that do not contain Sodium Bicarbonate, so please guide me whether Sodium bicarbonate is necessary in DMEM composition and what is its role and secondly if it is necessary then at what concnetration it should be added.

i have successfully prepare the meida form powder and the cells are also grwoing very well in new media, i just added sodium bicarbonate in the media and then adjust the pH and then filter sterlize it.
