Default killing worms efficiently

Hi,
I need to kill worms and place back in S medium for a few days as a
control and I was just wondering if anyone knows of a method that will
completely kill the worms without denaturing any proteins present. I've
tried snap freezing for several weeks in 0.1M NaCl and some M9 Buffer
but when I looked at the worms after couple of days some were alive.
Has anyone any ideas?
