| Saw "The Woman in Green" the other night (1945 Sherlock Holmes movie) wherein Basil Rathbone takes Cannabis Japonica to fake his hypnosis by making himself impervious to pain. No searches yield anything but a further reference back to the movie. | It is a 'Kief' - a 'confection japonica'. See this link for a similiar confection that is made with opium instead. Note also that The Lady in Green stated that it was an 'Oriental soporific'. Cannabis kief, powdered catechu and kino, nutmeg, cinnamon, sherry wine, syrup of red roses, honey... Sounds Delicious ! See: Google books "dispensary" "etc. Unable to post link, as this is my first post. |
