research plot: maximize clover and trefoil

Here is an excellent research project for High School or College. To
find out given a plot of ground with a patch of clover or trefoil on it.
To find out how
via mowing one can increase that patch of clover to engulf the entire
plot of
land. One cannot buy more clover seed nor nurse the seed there. I mean
strictly
just via the mowing to spread the clover patch. This would entail
finding
the proper mowing height so that the seeds of the clover develop to
maturity
and then for the mower to help broadcast those seeds to other spots in
the
plot.

I want to find the maximum means of spreading clover or trefoil in a
plot
with just simply mowing behaviour.
