RNA estimation

Posted 10-30-2008 at 01:34 PM by bonthalaravi
Hello Friends,

For RNA estimation using NANO drop machine pure RNA will have A260/280 equal to A260/230 >1.8-2 lower values indicate the presence of proteins (A280) or residual organic contamination (A230), like Trizol and chloroform, probably due to uncareful aspiration of the upper aqueous phase during RNA isolation. My question is A260/230>2 or 3 then RNA sample is pure are not? If it is pure then why? if it is not pure then why?(wht are the contaminants)

Thanks if anybody reply for my question.
