Post A simple excel question

Hello,
I have a simple (I think) question about excel. I have my average Ct values from my real-time PCR data in an excel sheet. I have used autofilter of the different columns, and now I would like to average the visible cells. When I try to average (and calculate SD as well) all the cells in that column are beeing included. I want to average only the filtered cells! Can someone please help me??

When you select the ranges for your mean and SD you can select specific cells. Simply hold down Ctrl and click on the individual cells you want included in the mean.

Either that, or setup you origonal calcs such that your "filtered" values are all in the same column/row, rather than mixed in with the non-flitered stuff.
