Default Need appllications for my ph.d topic in gene screening

Hallo all,
I am doing pcr for ssDNA transcripts of very short length directly from pcr like primer walking and it sort of works . I ran them on denaturing PAA-UREA gels. I also get multiple products when i chnage the primers.
then product length is very small. I want suggestions of further development and applications. We do this to screen different organisms on microarrays.
Also on microarrays i dont see any signal when i dilute the pcr product (which has mutiple ssDNA transcripts). Does western blot work for this.
Sometimes i doubt if this is not a novel one and can be done very easily.
Thanks in advance,
Harish.
