| are RBC eukaryotic or procaryotic cell,as on maturation it loses its nucleus? also ,does respiration take place in rbc,considering that it doesnot contain a mitocondria ? can respiration happen in the RBC till the glycolysis phase(which take place in the cytoplasm of the cell)? if not ,then in which cells does respiration take place ? |

| I asked my tutor this a while ago. RBC's are Eukaryotic still. Respiration takes place in every living cell with exception to red blood cells. |
