It's a disease that is caused by an abnormality in an individual's DNA.

A genetic disorder is one which is caused by defective genes or defective DNA. It could be either a faulty nucleotide sequence which could be due to deletion of a nucleotide or insertion of an unwanted nucleotide etc.
