Query regarding cloning

The eukaryotic cells except some yeasts dnt have plasmids..n it is nt possible to insert the desired gene into the genome, insertion for cloning is to be done only in plasmids. Then how is it possible to use eukaryotic cell lines as hosts for cloning experiments???
