| Hi, I am trying to amplify microsatellite loci from Olea europaea. I am using 0.5um of primer and I am getting a band of the expected size (between 200-300bp), yet I am getting roughly the same band in the negative control (no template DNA)! Could this be the result of primer dimers rather than amplified product? I am using about 200ng of DNA and performing a touch down PCR |
