| Hello For people that work with yeast as an organism model: I am expressing a human protein in yeast, with a Gal promoter, that appears to induce some kind of abnormalities in the yeast cell cycle, althought it does not cause yeast growth delay: at phase contrast, some cells appear elongated (more cylindric really) and some appear to form chains, like if the cytokinesis was not complete. Does anyone knows any biochemical method by which I can monitor this phenotype? I am currently making countings which is very subjective, despite being blinded experiments. Can some one share some insights on this? Thanks |

| Perhaps your affecting chitin synthesis or chitinase activity. |
