| Hi guys, I need some help. Our animal tissues were stored in the Qiagen Allprotect reagent immediately after the animals were sacrificed. They have been freezed for over a month. We also have some human tumor tissues in the same situation. Now we need to ship them from China to US. For some reason, UPS does not support dry ice/ice gel pack for these tissues from China (I don't know whether it is true and I am asking UPS). Now we have to ship them in room temp for 4 days. I know that fresh tissues can be protected in the Allprotect reagent in room temp for 7 days. But our tissues have been frozen in this reagent for quite some time. If we thaw them, will the tissues still be OK in room temp for 4 days? Qiagen people said they haven't tested this situation yet. Now I have to do a lot of testing for this problem in a very short time. Does anyone have experience on this one? Many thanks! |
