Question Help for an experiment

Good Afternoon,

I'm new on this forum and I'm sending this mail in order to ask for your help. Indeed, I just wanted to know if somebody knows a protocol for eliminating Mitochondrial DNA from a sample.
In fact, I have one sample which contains Viral DNA and mitochondrial DNA and I just want to get rid of the mtDNA in order to have only the viral DNA.
If somebody could help me, I would be very grateful

Thanks a lot,

easy method--buy viral dna extraction kit from qiagen.
more difficult method--differential centrifugation to separate whole mitochondria from lysate.

Hello,

Thanks a lot for your answer,
I'm already working with the qiagen kit for viral extraction but in my final eluate I have a mix of DNAs.
But the centrifugation is not a bad idea, I m going to try it.

Thanks
