| What is the difference between fluorescence and absorbance assays? |

| Well the answer is in the definition. fluorescence assay--will emit light, thus you will measure the emitted light as the signal of the assay. absorbance assay--will produce a color, the intensity of the color will absorb a given wavelength (say 450nm) and that is the measured signal. |
