| Hi guys, I am new here. I have a question regarding a bioinformatics assignment. We assembled ESTs from wheat into contigs, and then blasted those contigs on blastx, to look for genes in the caleosin family. One of the contigs had a frame shift. There was a question in the assignment asking that if there is a frame shift present in the sequence, how do you know if it is real or by sequencing error or error in sequence assembly? So how do I figure that out? |
