 Question: Which evolved first, "classical" apoptosis or necrosis I have to write a 2-page paper on: Which evolved first -- classical apoptosis, or injury apoptosis(necrosis)? First, I'm having trouble finding articles so if you have papers, i would be especially grateful. Second, I don't really have an opinion. I feel as though it makes sense evolutionarily to develop necrotic cell death mechanism first (result of injury e.t.c.) but then because of inflammation and other consequences e.t.c, a more sophisticated cell death system came to be. I have no clue an I'm open to ideas. THANKS  |
