 studying for comps, what is residual heterozygosity? Can anyone explain to me, in pretty basic terms (mol.bio. is not really my area, and the last time I studied it was about 10 yrs ago!), what residual heterozygosity is? I can't find a good online explanation! I believe it has something to do with inbreeding but I really don't know what... I'm using plant RILs in my research and I just want to be familiar with it in case it comes up in my comps in a week!! Thank you SOOOO much!  |
