Cloning is a term used to describe the processes involved in creating duplicates of a biological material. There have been many controversies involving the possibility of human cloning since the creation of Dolly the sheep, the first cloned mammal, in 1996.

2. What is your view on human cloning?

Scientists claim that human reproductive cloning could provide benefits, as it would allow parents who are both infertile to have children with at least some of their DNA in their offspring. And while the practice of human therapeutic cloning could provide genetically identical tissues and organs for transplantation and also improve the treatment for serious diseases such as cancer and heart disease, the children cloned for therapeutic purposes are eventually disposed of once they have served their purpose.
