| In animal kingdom, it's natural instinct to have sex only for the purpose of breeding. This is probably mediated by hormones. But for human, people will have sex even not wanting to have babies! What animals will have sex for pleasure? regardless they have only one mate or multiple partners... If possible, provide also some details. Thank you for your answer. |

| most mammals. animals don't necessarily have sex by instinct. i suppose fish might, but otherwise they have sex bc it feels good, i.e. for pleasure. |

| The Bonobo represent the best documented example of mammalian casual sex, outside of humanity. About 80% of the "mate for life" bird species commonly engage in "adultery", either the male or the female seeks outside mating opportunities. Many Squamates, Caudatans, Anurans and Testudines will engage multiple mating partners with female promiscuity being a lot more common than had been previously thought. Many species of these groups can also store viable sperm for upwards of 3-5 years. |
