| Okay.. First of all, I'm a lady. 16 yrs old. My mom is 5'4 and my dad is 5'5. I'm only 5ft tall. My other sisters are as tall as my mom and they all look like her while I resemble my dad more. Could it be that my sisters have the height genes of my mom and I have the height genes of my dad? If so, Why am i 5 inches smaller? Is it normal? I know that men are naturally taller than women. My brother is almost 5'10 tall and I believe he got the genes of my mom. Also, my friend believes she got the height genes of her dad and she's like 4 inches smaller than him. Anyone out there who's in the same situation? |

| the hight of your parents doesnt automatically determine your height, although it does play a large factor. i have spent time researching this topic because of my height at well ( im a girl, and have been 6"1' since i was 15, and now im 17) my mom is 5"9', any my dad is 6". so i passed them both, and my sister is 5"7', so dont judge you height according to them. id say you will be about 5"2 at most. i doubt you will grow much more. your looks dont directly associate with your looks ( i mean in the genes...) so just because you look like your dad, it dosnt mean you will have his height as well. |
