I found a tadpole-looking bug in my bed. What is it?

It did not look like a silverfish and unfortunately I panicked and smashed it into oblivion. It was black and extremely fast moving. It had no legs that I saw and no antenna. It moved and looked like a tadpole. I have no idea what it could be. Help?
