Default Help with Biology question! (multiple choice)?



1. A bacterial pathogen which lives in human blood was isolated and cultivated on agar plates at 37.5 Celsius. After 5 days the plates had no bacterial colonies. Identify the most likely explanation for the lack of bacterial colonies.

A. Agar inhibited the growth of the bacteria due to its antiseptic properties.
B. Bacteria grew but did not reproduce
C. Agar lacked an essential food necessary for the growth of the bacteria
D. Temperature was unsuitable for this particular bacteria
