Why is cell signaling important? (Alevel biology)?
I need an explanation as to why cell signaling is important in the body and why the cells in the body needs 2 communicate.
The question i need answering is worth 7 marks!
Thanks very much for your help !
As an idea, cell signalling is important as the body and its cells needs to learn to respond to its environment. You could talk about homeostatis in the body, and how hormones help to control this (with the use of receptors). If cell signalling goes wrong, diseases and cancers may arise.
