| So if i have 6 diploid chromosomes, how would it look at metaphase? This is involving mitosis. Would i have 12 sister chromatids ? |

| At metaphase, it would look like this. II II II You would have three pairs of chromosomes that are lined up at the center called the metaphase plate. There would also be spindle fibers attached to each side of the six chromosomes ready to pull the pairs of chromosomes apart from each other to opposite sides of the cell where cytokinesis will occur. You would not have 12 sister chromatids because the chromosomes already replicated. |
