 Allele Frequency Some populations have a carrier frequency for cystic fibrosis of approximately 1/25. What is the approximate frequency of the recessive allele for cystic fibrosis in these populations? What is the frequency of cystic fibrosis in these populations? so, since cystic fibrosis is pure recessive I have labelled it aa. 1/25 converts to 4%. I have set q equal to the recessive allele frequency and p equal to 1, however, I do not know where to go from there. Can someone give me some advice?  |
