Default 3D protein structure

Hi
can somebody guide me about the protein 3D structure prediction software, that may be available offline or online, in order to predict the structure of protien when only we have the structure of the protien
thankx

Hey Afta,

are you Homology modelling or Protein Threading?
Also do you have NMR X-Ray crystal data?

There is a lab which has a series of software for 3D protein analysis although I have not used them.
http://kinemage.biochem.duke.edu/software/index.php

also try these:

http://www.fundp.ac.be/urbm/bioinfo/esypred/
http://bioinf.cs.ucl.ac.uk/psipred/

Homology Modeling
http://ncisgi.ncifcrf.gov/~ravichas/HomMod/

http://www.salilab.org/modeller/
http://swissmodel.expasy.org//SWISS-MODEL.html

See this article on Pubmed about 3D software
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez/q..._uids=16600967

As always prediction of structure is just prediction. Confirmation is needed of the structure by X-ray crystallization or NMR Data

Great post

On a side note for those that do not understand 3D protein structure:

3-D structure prediction of a protein has the aim of determining the three-dimensional structure through an analysis of the amino acid sequence of the protein.
This is the prediction of Tertiary structure from primary structure (amino acids).
