converting DNA seq to FASTA format Does anyone know of tools that can convert DNA seq to FASTA format. I tried using the Expasy translate tool but, it gives me '-' spaces i betn seq something like this : RAG-LKAGHT-PTGAA |

Re: converting DNA seq to FASTA format If I understand right, the translator of expasy works correct. Under the sequence input is a drop down box where you can check your output format. There are three formats: First one converts Start codons to "Met" and stop codons to "Stop"; second one converts start codons to "M" and stop codons to "-"; the third and last option shows you your translation in the second format with addional nucleotide sequence. |

Re: converting DNA seq to FASTA format Load document to UGENE ([Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]) and use "Export -> Export sequence" from context menu. There will be a lot of options with translation included. |
