Default Drosophila genetics software

Does anyone know of a good software for notating and displaying Drosophila cross schemes? Currently I'm using a LaTeX plugin for PowerPoint to create fractions somewhat easily, but it's pretty cumbersome, and the resulting objects don't translate well between my PC version of PowerPoint and my boss' Mac (so I end up having to save to PDF).

Hey Kmunson,

Looked and couldnt find anything. The best thing to do is ask another Fly expert by email or wait and see if anyone responds that has experience in this matter.

Just out of curiousity I found interesting Fly Software here:

Yeah, teh intarweb is being less than hlepful on this topic. I'm considering writing one myself (in my copious amounts of free time... heh).

The newbyte program is useless for what I'm trying to do... there are a lot of "educational" fly crossing programs but nothing I've found to be actually useful in real research. ;p
