Hey every1. I am currently doing Msc in Microbiology and planning to go to US and pursue a MS in bioinformatics. I wanted to know about the job prospects after doing an MS.

Its nice to hear that u wana pursue MS BIOINFO @ US University.
compared to any other country,US got a good JOB prospects.
US is better option than UK....me to plannin for the same...juz completed my B.PHARM...

Hi your masters in micro should get you a job at a research university, then the principal investigator can write you a recommendation for that university's grad school. With luck you can keep the salaried job, plus tuition discount for being an employee---this is possible if the lab is really good at getting grants. You should inquire/investigate if the lab receives lucrative funding, all the perks are in the lucrative labs.
