i would like to do my PhD in the USA or in the UK in biotechnology or biochemistry?
 

what are some of the best places to do so?what are the procedures for applying?I am currently in the first yr of my 2yr post grad course in biotech in Calcutta University.when do i start applying?and what exams do i need to clear?can i immediately do my research work there after completing a 2yr MSc in India?
i would be really obliged if someone could give me the exact and detailed procedure..esp if someone's had a first hand experience,that'd be even better
