| Hi, I would like to digest DNA in an RNA preparation. I heard about bead bound DNaseI. Can anybody tell me something about this beads. Maybe anybody knows the company which offers them. Thanks, Bommel |

| Hey Bommel!, I have removed DNA contaminants from RNA isolations. The bead bound DNAseI is probably more expensive than the regular DNA, plus it may be contaminated with RNases (is it RNase-free?) We usually use RNAse-free DnaseI - very very cheap, and very effective... it is easy to get rid of also - just heat your sample at 80C... thats it Rnase free Dnase is from: Qiagen [Only registered users see links. ] and the one we use Promega RQ1 [Only registered users see links. ] |

| As for the DNaseI-Sepharose beads, I found they are usually made. "Cell lysates were incubated with DNaseI immobilized on Sepharose beads at 4°C for 1 h."
