| Hi please tell me the following questions 1 what is best media for yeast growth? 2 what is best temperature of incubation? 3 can we incubate yeast at 37oC 4 how long we must incubate the yeast streaked on agar plate?? i hope you will guide me best regards aftab |

| HI, This maybe a late answer, but anyway 1.PDA is cheap and good for yeast. could buy it ready to use, or can make it. 2.Yeast grow well at 28-30 degrees celsius. depends on the species...30 should be optimal. 3.growth was retarded at 37 when i tried. 4.overnight incubation should be adequate.. doesn't harm with a short delay. | Hi thanks a lot for providing good information. i also studied it and found that 28C is good temperature for yeast growth and its growth is ratareded at higher temperature. there are multiple of media for yeast like YPD, YPG, PDA, and many others but these are cheep and easy to made. regards aftab |
