Post Transformation in yeast

Hi
i was doing transformation in yeast K.lactis and the selection was based on utilization of acetamide, after transformation when i grew the k.lactis strain on YCB medium with Acetamide then both control (wild type K.lactis) as well as transformed K.lactis with vector was grown on media. what is the possible reason of growth of wild type K.lactis.
