Re: yeast transportation

Hi there Aftab,

I would recommend making a stab. To to this:

1. Make a small 10-20mL stock of sterile YPD agar (or similar).
2. Transfer the agar into a 30-50mL sterile tube (e.g. a Falcon tube)
3. Keep the tube at a 45 degree angle until the agar sets
4. Take some of the culture onto an innoculation loop and stab it deep into the center of the agar.

The culture should be fine in there for several weeks at room temperature. When your friend get the culture he/she should stab an innoculation loop into the agar and use it to break up the agar, then streak onto fresh plates.

Hi Dear
Thanks for your guidence
this is not only my problem and we should discuss this topic in detail so i would like that other members should also contribute and also give some other way for bacterial and yeast transportation.
