Defective Thermal Cyclers
 

I recently became aware that a certain manufacturer's products manufactured between 2005 and 2007 were defective and there was no recall.

What should I do, if anything? My concern is there are a number of thermal cyclers in use that are flawed. Since the technology was licensed, the problem may not be limited to one manufacturer.

(I am not in the science field whatsoever.)
