| what are the amino acids present in any protein how can we know without sequencing it. how do a protein folding starts and ends ? |

| Good article. One could also add that three of the amino-acids (Trp, Tyr, Phe) are fluorescent. |

| Besides, Tpr fluorescence spectrum position depends significantly on the environment (polar or non-polar), that permits to made conclusions about the Trp position in the globule (i.e. inside or facing the water medium) |

| Amino acids are molecules containing an amine group, a carboxylic acid group and a side chain that varies between different amino acids. These molecules contain the key elements of Carbon, Hydrogen, Oxygen, and Nitrogen. These molecules are particularly important in biochemistry, where this term refers to alpha-amino acids with the general formula H2NCHRCOOH, where R is an organic substituent. |

| amino acids were discovered in the early 1800s. In 1806, the French chemists Louis-Nicolas Vauquelin and Pierre Jean Robiquet isolated a compound in asparagus that proved to be asparagine, the first amino acid to be discovered. Another amino acid that was discovered in the early 19th century was cystine, in 1810, although its monomer, cysteine, was discovered much later, in 1884. | Amino acids, that are made of carbon, hydrogen, oxygen, nitrogen, are organic compounds. Strings of amino acids make up proteins of various varieties. Of the 20 amino acids are needed for manufacturing the proteins that is required for human body. The body itself produces only 12, which means that we have to fulfill our requirements for the other eight through nutrition. This is just one example of the importance of amino acids in the functioning of body. |
