| Evolutionary Genomics Department of Biology University of Massachusetts Amherst The Department of Biology at UMass Amherst invites applications for an Open Rank, Tenure-Track Faculty Position in the area of Evolutionary Genomics. We seek candidates whose research and teaching expertise addresses questions in the areas of evolutionary development, systematics, molecular evolution or population genetics using comparative genomics and related methodologies. The successful candidate is expected to establish an externally funded research program and to be actively committed to teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. We seek a field-oriented biologist whose research addresses fundamental questions in ecology and evolutionary biology. Specific areas of interest include, but are not limited to, population genetics, adaptation, speciation, and the evolution of species interactions. We expect this individual to develop an internationally recognized, externally funded research program, to have a strong commitment to research and to undergraduate and graduate education.
