POST-DOCTORAL POSITION IN PLANT CIRCADIAN BIOLOGY

A postdoctoral position is available for a highly motivated
individual to study the molecular basis of circadian rhythms in
Arabidopsis. A large proportion of the plant transcriptome is
regulated by the circadian clock (Science 290:2110-3). However, the
mechanism of this regulation is poorly understood. The aim of the
current NIH-funded project is to better understand the cis- and
trans-acting factors that confer appropriately phased circadian
regulation on clock output genes. This will be achieved by a
multidisciplinary approach using molecular genetic, biochemical, and
functional genomic techniques. The ideal candidate will be an
independent, critical thinker with experience in molecular biology,
genetics, or biochemistry.
