Faculty Position
Applications are invited for a full-time, tenure track Faculty
Position in the general area of plant biochemistry. We anticipate
hiring at the Assistant Professor level but highly qualified senior
candidates will be also considered. Emphasis will be given, but not
limited, to candidates with research interests in the areas of
functional genomics, metabolomics, proteomics, metabolic engineering,
metabolic flux analysis, or pharmacological properties of plant
natural products. The faculty appointment will be interdisciplinary
with a minority appointment in either the Department of Chemistry or
the College of Pharmacy, Division of Medicinal Chemistry and
Pharmacognosy contingent upon the qualifications of the individual.
The candidate must have a Ph.D. and a productive postdoctoral
experience. The successful candidate is expected to establish a
creative and productive research program, and to excel in
undergraduate and graduate teaching. The successful applicant's
laboratory will be located in the new, state-of-the-art Aronoff
