UNIVERSITY OF CAPE TOWN
The University of Cape Town invites applications for the following two
posts in the bioinformatics node that is situated in the Institute of
Infectious Diseases and Molecular Medicine at the University of Cape
Town, and which forms part of the National Bioinformatics Network (NBN)
in South Africa. There is no requirement for applicants to be conducting
research in the medical field.
We invite applications for this renewable two-year contract position at
the level of Associate Professor. As the successful candidate, you will

dynamic leader in the field capable of setting direction and inspiring a
team to achieve in that direction. As a primary responsibility, you
will perform your own bioinformatics research, raise external funding
for support of ongoing research, and ensure that core bioinformatics
capacity is developed in the node. The annual remuneration package will
be up to a level of R350,000, depending on qualification and experience.
