| <x-flowed>Dear Fellow Arabidopsis Researchers, The North American Arabidopsis Steering Committee (NAASC) would like to give you some important information: First, the dates of the next few Arabidopsis Conferences will be as follows: * July 11-14, 2004, Estrel Convention Center, Berlin, Germany See [Only registered users see links. ], and watch TAIR for updates on registration and submission deadlines * June 14-19, 2005, Madison, Wisconsin, USA * June 27-July 2, 2006, Madison, Wisconsin, USA Secondly, The North American Arabidopsis Steering Committee (NAASC) held a business meeting in conjunction with the 14th Conference on Arabidopsis Research this summer in Madison, Wisconsin. During the meeting, Phil Benfey, elected to the NAASC earlier this year, was elected to be the NAASC representative on the Multinational Arabidopsis Steering Committee (MASC), and to serve as co-Chair of MASC for 2003-2004. As Phil now takes on the role of representation of NAASC on MASC, Mike Sussman, formerly chair of the MASC, will step down from this role. It is important that members of the Arabidopsis community communicate their concerns and needs in regard to support for Arabidopsis research, and other issues that arise within the research community, to the NAASC. The NAASC currently consists of: Bonnie Bartel, Rice University ([Only registered users see links. ].edu) Eric Richards, Washington University ([Only registered users see links. ]) Greg Copenhaver, University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill ([Only registered users see links. ].edu) Brenda Winkel, Virginia Tech ([Only registered users see links. ]) Philip Benfey, Duke University ([Only registered users see links. ]) Rob McClung, Dartmouth College ([Only registered users see links. ]) Best regards, Rebecca Joy Jurkuta, on behalf of the NAASC __________________________________________________ ______ Rebecca Joy Jurkuta, Ph.D. Coordinator, Multinational Arabidopsis Steering Committee (MASC) 425 Henry Mall Madison, WI 53706 608.265.0796 Fax 608.262.6748 [Only registered users see links. ] --- </x-flowed> |
