Nuclear protein extraction for plants Hi everybody, Im looking for a nuclear protein extraction protocol for myplant: Lotus japonicus (leguminosae). I saw in litterature that the chemichals were always changing from plant to plant (kind of chemichals and their respective amounts in the extraction buffers). I wonder if somebody of u could help me by providing me the best protocol to extract nucleus from frozen plant tissue and then to extract the proteins from the nuclei. Thx in advance §. |
Re: Nuclear protein extraction for plants Hello, I am also looking for a nuclear protein called 'portoklaniaris ala pagotaris' which I need to use to also extract the tissue of my plant 'fitologidis epistimonidis proteonukloropoulos'. I don't seem to find it anywhere and I need some guidance to locate it so I can complete my experiment. Thank you in advance |
Re: Nuclear protein extraction for plants sorry, I am also looking for a nuclear protein ! |
Re: Nuclear protein extraction for plants Hi, In fact I want to try this. I never did this by my self but found two papers. Please have a look and try if you think it serves your purpose. Please let me know the result after your trails. 1. Microextraction of Nuclear Proteins from Single Maize Embryos Peter K. Busk and Montserrat Pag`es Departament de Gen`etica Molecular. Centre d’Investigaci´o i desenvolupament C.S.I.C. Jordi Girona 1826 08034 Barcelona, Spain 2. Re: Nuclear protein extraction for plants Hi I´ve also been tempted to give the "Microextraction of Nuclear Proteins from Single Maize Embryos" protocol a try, but in the end never did. If anyone does I'd really like to know if it works. bye bye |
Re: Nuclear protein extraction for plants I also need a proper method to extract and quantify nuclear proteins from my wheat plants (leaves) under different drought treatments. Many Thanks Bhutto [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...] |

Hope you would reply back asap. Thanks a lot |
Re: Nuclear protein extraction for plants I have tried the "Microextraction of Nuclear Proteins from Single Maize Embryos". I also asked lots of people for telling me about the protein quality. Most of them said positivly. However, there was no binding for my gel shift assay, even using a TATABOX1 as a probe. I am not sure if the protein is really functional or the binding condition is not good enough. |
Re: Nuclear protein extraction for plants This is good info guys. Thanks! |
