Searching for a word... the chemical state causing cell death?
I think it starts with "chemo-" but I haven't been able to find it. A word describing a chemical state, such as caused by a lack of blood flow, that results in death.
Ah, I was thinking of ischemia. I may have had better luck remembering it if I hadn't gotten it stuck in my head that it started with "chem-".
