photoreceptor cells?
I always get thumbed down by theists when I ask for real evidences (not metaphorical concepts applied as evidences) of their beliefs.

No I did not know that. I do know that a brain chemical called ketamine is the reason behind those near-death hallucinations of god and aliens that people get, so I thought that was behind the "bright light."

lol...have you ever had an NDE? how the hell can anyone be certain what that light is? how do photoreceptor cells function if your brain is shut off? you know what i think? you'll make up any b/s to explain the supernatural away.

Just because you can come up with a theory doesn't mean you speak factually.

Atheists have trouble with this concept. "Evidence" is required. How do you know the brain even has cells that are exclusively "photoreceptors" ?

(I always get thumbed down by atheists when I ask for evidence of their beliefs. It's as if evidence is insulting to you and you would never stoop that low. It must be terrible for atheists to live their entire lives in total darkness, removed from education and logical thought processes.)

All external stimuli is due to photoreceptor cells, not just light in near death experiences. And most visions that happens during a near death experience are produced by the brain, not really actual visual stimuli being taken in by photoreceptor cells. It's mostly the brain warping and misinterpreting photoreceptor signals coming in from the optic nerve due to the fact your brain is suffocating.
