Do you understand it is not the stem cell research I want to ban, but the killing of people to acquire stem cells? We can and do acquire stem cells without killing people, and I do support that research.

The death penalty is a just and proper punishment given to a guilty person, usually a multiple murderer.

Steam cell research is good, and no Christian I know objects to steam cell research and all the good it will potentially do. We do object to the producing and then terminating of an innocent life in get order to get fetal stem cells - when they are available from other sources. Simply use the other sources (umbilical cords, embryonic fluid, placentas, fetuses from miscarriages, etc.

I believe in the death penalty. It is kinda odd to be so concerned about how humane it is to the criminal, when you consider their victim & how the criminal was not concerned about being humane to the victim.
Bless God, I have not had to endure anything in that realm, but it sure seems like a slap in the face to the victim's family.

Stem cell research I have only heard about & have not researched it, but from all that I have heard, it should be banned.
The more we learn about what life is from its earliest stages, the more amazed I am & in awe of our God & creator.

Glory to God in the highest.

Well, I believe in the death penalty....but I'm not too crazy about its' being used in this country today, where our judicial system is so corrupt. The Bible mandates that there must be at least 2 witnesses in order to put someone to death. By contrast, most of our convictions today are based on circumstantial evidence...just look at the Robert Blake case- even though he wasn't convicted, his life was ruined, and years were wasted, all for circumstantial evidence. (While OJ Simpson, for whom there was DNA and all sorts of real evidence, went free)

I certainly yearn for the day when Gods' justice system will be established on earth when Christ returns. There were no jails in His system...people were executed for serious capital crimes...and for property crimes, people made restitution and paid puniotive damages.....they didn't have a "correc tional system" like we do, where crooks are supported and sheltered at taxpayers expense, and get to sit around watching cable TV.

I oppose stem cell research- the very use of stem cells is prohibited by the law of God- and I think all research of any kind should be a private matter and privately funded- our [supposed-to-be] "limited" government is not supposed to even be involved in such things. (And quite frankly, if the wicked want to have abortions and/or engage in stem cell research with their own money, that's there business....between them and God- God can and will deal with them...as long as they leave us alone, what they do with their fetuses is their business...I'm certainly not going to raise their offspring, nor pay for others to). While abortion is a sin and a gross evil, the destruction of the children of the wicked is one of the curses pronounced on the wicked by God- kind of ironic that they should self-fulfill that prophecy...isn't it? Let their offspring be cut off....we don't need the evil reproducing and filling the world with more of their disfunctional offspring)

And just as a side note: I have a handicap for which they tell me that stem cells would likely offer a cure....but i would not participate in such a cure, even when it becomes a reality. (For my ailment, they are actually right on the verge of it being reality, too). Not only do I think it is morally wrong and contrary to Gods commands, but I do believe that we are going reap monstrous results down the road from such endeavors- Jesus said that the end times shall be just like the days before the flood...and we see in Genesis, that before the flood, "all flesh was corrupt" and "there were giants in the earth".
