u pronounce alphabet "A" + pop + "toe" (pronounce as ur pronounce ur big finger of the leg)+ sis

The [Only registered users see links. ] has a section on this. Basically, most people pronounce it with the "pop" syllable, even though etymologically the second P should be silent (as part of the Greek root word ptosis).

mostly people pronounce it as apo-tosis and second p is silent.
