Mouse IgM purification from hybridoma supernatant
I'm naive in Ig purification.
In a couple of mounths I'm going to purify mouse IgM for mouse hybridoma supernatant and then use the isolated IgM to treat rats.
I'll have a large amount of medium (at least 1lt) which purify IgM from.
The hybrydoma will be cultured in serum free / chemical defined medium, thus I know the only Ig present in the medium will be the IgM.
A collegue suggests me to use a commercial kit not specific for IgM isolation and check the different elution rate.
I have found some IgM isolation kits based on Protein L or Mannan binding protein or thiophilic matrices.
I really appreciate any suggetsion /advice you can give me.
Re: Mouse IgM purification from hybridoma supernatant
Sorry just saw your question...please go to this link and you will find the use of CIM Monoliths for IgM purification ..the DBC of the CIM QA Monoliths for recombinant IgM can be as high 40mg/ml. please go to biaseparations website and search for IgM purification
